New this year! Once you have registered on our Maryland Plunge, Corporate Plunge, Police Plunge, or Cool Schools Plunge fundraising websites, you will be ready to set up your Classy for Facebook Fundraiser. Please be sure to follow these steps exactly to ensure that your Facebook Fundraiser is connected to your fundraising page:
- Access your fundraising page
- Log in at the top-right of the page if you haven’t already
- Select Manage at the top-right of your page
- Select the Facebook tab
- Select the Create button
- When the Facebook login prompt appears, log in if you haven't already
- Make sure the Manage your Fundraisers toggle is on
- Once you complete these steps, your Facebook fundraising page will be created automatically and appear on your Facebook activity feed. Select View on the tile that appears to visit your Facebook fundraising page.
- Once you have landed on your Facebook Fundraiser Page, edit the name of your fundraiser to be "Your Name's 2021 Plunge Fundraiser"
Any Facebook fundraiser that is set up directly on Facebook will not be linked to your Classy fundraising page and your funds will not be able to be transferred by our team. If you have any questions about the setup process or troubleshooting please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Use your social media accounts! We know... social media is most of the time used for getting lost in wormholes of animal best friend videos, memes, and your great aunt's friend group drama, but it's also an awesome tool to help you fundraise for Plunge! Use the sample social content and graphic to promote your Virtual Plunge fundraising efforts.
Right click on the graphic to save to your computer, copy and paste the following sample content, then post the graphic and content to your social media accounts:

Best practices for filming your Virtual Plunge
In our new virtual world, the demand for video and digital content has increased exponentially. By now, we are sure that you have the hang of video recording, but if you are still new to the whole video thing, keep the following tips in mind when filming your Virtual Plunge at home!
Don't stumble into bad lighting! We recommend filming your Virtual Plunge outside for the best lighting and to make it as cold as possible, BRRR! If you are not able to film outside, avoid spotlights and bright windows behind you, which can throw off the exposure of your video.
The best way to film a video is in landscape mode (holding your phone sideways). If you have a tripod, use it to film. If you don't have one, you can stabilize your phone or camera using boxes or a window sill. You can also ask your housemates to be your camera crew for filming your Plunge!
When you are set up and ready to film make sure you remember to smile and speak loudly! If you are filming with a friend, have them give you a count down of when to start. If you are filming alone, utilize the self timer feature on your phone to make sure you capture your whole Virtual Plunge!
