The Polar Plunge is a very cool way for the community to come out and show their support for the athletes of Special Olympics DC. SODC provides free year-round sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in 10 Olympic-style sports.

The Polar Bear Plunge is part of Maryland's history. For the past 25 years, thousands of plungers have jumped into the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay all in support of Special Olympics Maryland. Choose from one of our 5 different Plunge events!
