• 15,588 athletes and Unified® teammates train & compete in Maryland
• Special Olympics Maryland offers 17 sports year-round
• All SOMD athletes compete free of charge
• It costs $250 for an athlete to compete in one sport for one season
• It costs $125 for an athlete to virtually compete in one sport for one season
