Parking & Transportation

Plan in advance!

Parking Passes

Parking passes for Sandy Point State Park are only required for Saturday, January 25th. If you are plunging with your team on Thursday, January 23rd or Friday, January 24th you do not need to purchase a parking pass. There are numerous ways that participants can secure parking at Sandy Point - see those options in the accordion below!

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped Parking Permits are $15.00 and can be purchased at Packet Pickup.

Requests for accessible parking spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A Plunge Permit is required to enter the park, along with your Handicapped Plates or Hang Tag. A Handicapped identification alone will not be granted access into Sandy Point without a Plunge Permit.

Polar Express Shuttle

A free Polar Express Shuttle System will be available and we encourage all Plungers and spectators to use this fast, efficient mode of transportation to and from the Park. We’ll even be giving away great prizes to shuttle riders all day long! Handicapped Accessible buses are available as part of the free Polar Express Shuttle System to and from Sandy Point, so accommodations are available to all participants and spectators, both on-site and to and from our satellite lots. Beginning at 8:00 AM, Polar Express shuttles will be transporting passengers to Sandy Point State Park from:
