It is Special Olympics Maryland's goal, in close coordination with our dedicated partners, to host an in-person Plunge at Sandy Point State Park this coming March. The COVID-19 pandemic is ever-changing and we will be continuously monitoring the situation and adjusting our plan as needed to ensure the health and safety of our community. Please refer to this page for the most up-to-date protocols and information regarding your on-site Plunge experience.
Every Plunger that fundraises or pays $100 ($50 for Cool Schools) will receive a 28th Anniversary Polar Bear Plunge Sweatshirt. You must pay or raise $100 minimum ($50 for Cool Schools) to receive your sweatshirt. 2024 Plunge Sweatshirt design coming soon!
Are you plunging in-person and want to bring your own personal photographer and towel holder? Great! Just make sure that you have them download, print, and sign our Plunge Spectator Waiver so they can join you on the beach. Have your Plunge pal bring your completed waiver with them on Plunge day to get a spectator wristband that allows them access to the beach!
Even though we are excited to be back at Sandy Point State Park this year for the 27th annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge, we know there are many Plungers who loved the Virtual Plunge option last year and it is here to stay! If plunging virtually is more your speed, click the link below to learn more!
