Donation Information

    • All donations made to Special Olympics Maryland are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
    • Donations made by check that are $10 or more will receive an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.
    • All donations sent to SOMD 10 days prior to the Plunge will be processed before the event. Donations sent to SOMD less than 10 days prior to the event will still be processed, but will most likely not appear in your online total until post-event.
    • Donations made via check, cash or money order can be mailed or delivered to SOMD at the following address:

      3701 Commerce Drive, Suite 103
      Baltimore, MD 21227
      (sending cash through the mail is discouraged)
    • Accepting cash and writing a personal check is discouraged- simply hand in cash with donor information at the event.
    • Only Donors with complete contact info will receive a thank you letter for tax purposes. You may request additional tax receipts at Registration.

    To make a donation that will be credited to a particular Plunger, type the Plunger’s first and last name into the search box below. Then click “Search” and select the correct page from the list that is automatically generated. This will direct you to that participant’s personal fundraising page, where you can then make an online contribution.
